The UK Black Business Entrepreneurs Conference (BBEC) 2024 has announced a strategic partnership to support three charities: ACLT (African Caribbean Leukaemia Trust), Sickle Cell Society, and the Multiple Sclerosis Society.

This initiative aims to increase awareness and financial support for these vital organisations.

The UK BBEC 2024 is renowned for promoting entrepreneurial excellence and economic empowerment within the Black community. This year, the conference extends its impact to spotlight the crucial roles of ACLT, Sickle Cell Society, and the Multiple Sclerosis Society in improving health outcomes and providing essential support for individuals affected by these conditions.

Dr Carlton Brown, Founder of UK BBEC, stated, “Our partnership with ACLT, Sickle Cell Society, and the MS Society is more than just a collaboration; it’s a commitment to driving positive change. By leveraging our platform, we aim to raise awareness and connect these charities with the financial backing they need to continue their invaluable work. This is an opportunity for the entrepreneurial community to be reminded how they can support and make a tangible difference.”

Championing Health Equity

ACLT, Sickle Cell Society, and the Multiple Sclerosis Society are at the forefront of addressing health disparities that disproportionately affect the Black community. This partnership underscores UK BBEC’s dedication to health equity and social responsibility.

Melissa Harvey, ACLT National Development Coordinator, expressed her gratitude, “We (The ACLT) want to extend our heartfelt thanks to the BBEC for believing in our cause and providing us with this opportunity. Our joint efforts will make a significant impact and bring about positive change in our community. This collaboration is a testament to the important work we do and will help us further our mission to diversify the Stem Cell, Blood and Organ donor registers, whilst tackling inequalities in healthcare to save more lives.”

UK BBEC 2024 invites businesses, entrepreneurs, and philanthropists to join the conference and support the causes of ACLT, Sickle Cell Society, and the MS Society. This partnership is an opportunity for the entrepreneurial community to drive awareness, generate funding, and champion these essential health initiatives.
