The UK’s franchising industry is set to compete in the prestigious Elite Franchise Top 100 (EF100) as the 8th annual search for the top franchises begins.
Entries open on Thursday, 1st August 2024. Recognition by the EF100 certifies franchises as top performers and enhances their credibility, appealing to potential franchisees.
Judging Panel and Criteria
The EF100 rankings are judged by a panel of over 25 top judges in the franchise sector, including Anita Roberts, Franchise Director, and Gillian Morris, UK Head of Franchising from headline sponsor HSBC UK. Other esteemed judges include Pip Wilkins QFP, Chief Executive of the British Franchise Association. The scores are based on an eight-score criteria evaluating a franchise’s longevity, financial performance, network size, growth, contribution, support, innovation, and future prospects. “This is the third time I’ve been a judge for the EF100 and every year I’m excited to see what the brands have to share with us,” said Anita Roberts from HSBC UK.
New Awards for 2025
This year, the EF100 introduces three new awards: Diversity and Inclusion, Sustainability, and People’s Choice. Subscribers of Elite Franchise can vote for the People’s Choice award between the publication of the official ranking in December and the awards evening in March. Franchisors and franchisees can also participate in the voting for The Supplier of the Year.
Jodie Marsh, the new spokesperson for EF100 and Commercial Director of Elite Franchise, expressed her enthusiasm: “It was my first time attending the awards ceremony this year (2024) and I was blown away by the amazing stories shared with us on the celebration evening. I think the new People’s Choice award is a great addition to get more of those incredible journeys profiled across our industry.”
Entries for EF100 close on Monday, 30th September 2024 at 5 pm. The official ranking will be announced on Wednesday, 4th December. Franchisors can enter by visiting the EF100 registration page.
The top 100 list will culminate in a ceremony on Thursday, 13th March 2025, at Leonardo Royal, St Paul’s, Central London, where the winners will be revealed.
