HR Technologies UK is preparing for its 2025 event, set to take place at ExCeL London on 23-24 April. The event will once again feature the Start-Up Zone and Start-Up Showdown, offering a platform for emerging HR technology companies to showcase their innovations.
HR Technologies UK provides start-ups with exposure to HR professionals, investors, and industry media. The Start-Up Zone gives new companies the opportunity to engage with attendees, generate leads, and increase brand visibility.
Start-ups will also compete in the Start-Up Showdown, a competition judged by industry experts, with the winner receiving a free stand at HR Technologies UK 2026. The winning company will also receive advisory services from industry consultant Bill Boorman.
This year’s participants include Bro Inc, Cruit, Hapcha, Nartio, Unbiasly, Welliba, Hoogly, and Workflex. The event aims to support early-stage companies in building industry connections and gaining recognition within the HR technology sector.
Start-Up Showdown Returns for 2025
Last year’s Start-Up Showdown saw inploi, a candidate experience platform, take the top prize after a two-day judging process. The competition, hosted by Bill Boorman and assessed by consultants and investors, provided start-ups with opportunities to connect with industry leaders.
Alex Hanson-Smith, CTPO and Co-founder at inploi, reflected on last year’s win. “Pitch competitions are tough – especially when you’re up against excellent businesses and in front of a discerning judging panel that knows exactly what to look for!
“Winning last year felt fantastic and was a great validation of the emphasis we place on clearly and quickly communicating our value and proposition. Since then, we’ve been flat out building, and we’re incredibly excited to showcase our new technology at HR Technologies UK this year. Watch this space!”
Nicki Morris, Group Event Director at HR Technologies UK, said, “The Start-Up Zone, and the highly anticipated Start-Up Showdown, return to HR Technologies UK for its third iteration. These are two key elements of the wider event, offering a dynamic environment for emerging companies to connect with the wider community. We’re looking forward to welcoming the latest generation of HR technology start-ups.”
HR Technologies UK 2025 aims to continue fostering innovation in HR technology by providing start-ups with a platform to showcase their solutions and connect with industry stakeholders.
