Drama Kids, a well-known provider of performing arts education for children, has introduced a new initiative aimed at individuals under 25 years old.

The recently launched ‘Franchise Graduate Scheme’ provides a clear, structured pathway to franchise ownership in the performing arts sector, equipping young entrepreneurs with the tools and support they need to succeed.

The scheme has already attracted interest from recent university graduates and young entrepreneurs. Amber Jellet, a 24-year-old from Bromley, was one of the first to take advantage of this opportunity, securing her own Drama Kids franchise covering the Gravesend and Sevenoaks areas. With a background in musical theatre, Amber initially pursued acting before discovering her passion for teaching children.

“After working as a children’s party entertainer and later as a teaching assistant, I recognised the value I could bring to children’s lives,” said Amber. “Drama Kids’ mission to build communication skills and confidence in children really resonated with me. I love that the focus is on individuality and self-worth, rather than just preparing kids for the stage.”

Amber recently completed her franchise training at the Drama Kids head office and has now launched her business within her community, all before turning 25. “I’m thrilled to be part of the Drama Kids family and look forward to building a successful business with their support,” she added.

A Clear Path to Franchise Success

The Drama Kids Franchise Graduate Scheme includes professional development opportunities and the chance to gain a Level 4 Teaching Assistant qualification. The scheme operates on a five-year franchise agreement, with the option to renew at the end of the term. This provides participants with the chance to rapidly develop their business skills while building a valuable asset.

The launch of this scheme follows the global rebrand of Drama Kids, which took place 12 months ago. For Drama Kids COO, Becky Goodfield, the initiative represents an important new chapter for the brand and the wider franchising industry.

“I wish this scheme had been available when I first joined Drama Kids at 23,” said Becky. “Our academies are run by people from all walks of life, but bringing in fresh talent strengthens our diverse network. I’m excited to see what young people like Amber will achieve as they join our growing team.”

Empowering Young Entrepreneurs

Drama Kids aims to build confidence not only in its students but also in its franchisees. By offering young entrepreneurs the chance to manage their own businesses, the programme supports personal growth while making a positive impact on children’s lives.

“We’re giving young entrepreneurs the skills they need to run their own business while contributing to children’s development,” said Becky. “It’s an exciting time for Drama Kids, and we’re proud to provide opportunities that foster both personal and professional success.”

As the Franchise Graduate Scheme continues to grow, Drama Kids looks forward to welcoming more young talent into its network, helping to shape the future of performing arts education and business entrepreneurship across the UK.
